About

Hazel Guenther M.A., MFT-Intern

I am  Las Vegas native and received my Bachelors of Art (B.A.) in Communication Studies from the University of Nevada Las Vegas in 2009. After graduation I moved away from Las Vegas for 9 years due to my husband being active duty in the U.S. Army. I had the privilege to work alongside many families during deployments and relocation. We had the opportunity of living in Texas, Georgia, Germany, and Louisiana.

At our final duty station I completed my student internship in Louisiana at a non-profit organization where I led grief groups and social skills group for children on the spectrum or had difficult behavior issues. I received my Master of Arts (M.A.) in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University Online in Lynchburg, VA in 2015.

Upon my husband completing his commitment in the U.S. Army we moved back to Las Vegas. I began working in the for-profit sector working children of all ages and adults, who are trauma survivors resulting from childhood abuse, sexual assault, domestic violence, parental separation, abandonment, adoption, and foster care placement.

I have training/experience in Parts and Memory Part I, Grief, and Trauma. I also have training in Christian Counseling and can integrate them in our sessions if requested.

When not working I am a wife, mom, and I volunteer my time at church, love traveling, exercising, playing with my dogs, and a fan of the Vegas Golden Knights. Go Knights Go!
